The story of the build
The formal reflection lake at Emperors Palace, with its horse-sculpture fountains, refinished in the turquoise that runs through the whole resort.
Turquoise is the colour of Emperors Palace, and the plaza lake is where most visitors first see it. Curtis Pools refinished the top pond and sorted out the leaks around its edges, working in a public space that stayed open throughout.
The lake had lost its previous coating in patches, which is what the early photographs show; the refinished pond went back into service in January 2017.
